Where do most JiF'ers hail from

French brought to my attention some latency issues people may be experiencing. I personally do not have any issues connecting to our server (Picked a US location), but just wonder where the most of us JiF'ers come from. Is French's issues unique or do most Jif'ers have latency issues when connecting to the BF3 server...

I was able to vote, don't think I'm having any latency issues and I'm in Ohio

na no problem with joining, just a high ping but this is normal for us european players on us servers. I mean i played 42 on the jif server for 3 years and was used to the high ping. But 42 was slower as game and the ping wasnt too much of an issue but BF3 has a way faster gameplay and makes the high ping to a real issue for me.

I'm in the UK.
I know that I have a higher ping (usually low 80's) for JiF server, than some of my local UK servers where I can get a ping as low as 11.
I try to view the game on the Olympic principal. It's better the taking part than the winning. I prefer to play on our server & interact on TS with the other jiffers than to play on a low rated ping server, but be sitting cursing & whooping on my own.
To me it's the fun of the thing that's important & the fun comes from JiF.
This is only my opinion, it is the way I like all my competitve stuff, I play team sports because of the social element. Hell cricket is the most social team game you could ever play & it's why I always can't wait for the summer to come round.

Can't vote either but I'm another Rule Brittania player and the ping problem doesn't bother me size isn't everything LOL

Another UK'er here (BTW Phantomix the UK is part of Europe, despite the protestations of the sceptical elements over here and Angela Merkel)

The lag that I used to get on the '42 server was one of the things that drove me to specialising as a sniper, when it came to 1 on 1 battles against US based players I was still trying to get aim when their bullets were ripping into me.

so a suggestion for those experiencing latency issues could be to adopt a support/back up role using the mortar or a sniper rilfe to spot enemies and help the forward troops...

I Can't vote says invalid.. but I'm UK too.
It's not like we are land locked with Europe, so I always
say No! to the EU and the UK being part of it.
On to the server issue...
No problems at all, I can't use TS as my PC is in the living room
and so is my Better half watching the one eyed propaganda machine.
so I can't speak also... She can't sleep if i'm playing after say 12:30
Keyboard disturbs her.
Yet she is a Great cook and house keeper so she's not all bad.

I have never experienced any latency issues on the server unless I'm downloading stuff.
