I didn't know Karkand had a Mosque and many tall building...looks rather like Mashtuur City to me.

Anyways, it's a concept art, and not a real screenshot. Too, bad DICE didn't give us the promised screenshots of the maps in the Back to Karkand Expansion. :shoot:

That Karkand mosque with the square & building with the arched space facing looks just like the one out of a BF2 custom map I play. The other picture with the buildings under construction look similar to another part of the same map. it's called Maszarqui Siege. I don't remember a mosque in the original BF2, although as I play on servers which only run the maps in the smaller co-op format there may be a mosque in the expanded map that I don't see!

On another note I am pleased to say that I have just pre-ordered BF3. The nice people at EA sent me a £10 voucher for my birthday which I put towards the cost of the game. :viva:

Rix - 2nd hand PS3 console is about £100 (60Gb Old model - not slimline)

Get one and join Me online - you know it makes sense!! Static may also join us and we can dominate the BF£ world on PSN - MWAHAHAHAH

Nah Z, I think you should get the PC version. I have a feeling that console players aren't going to be as happy as the PC players. They built it for PC first so 32 players instead of 64 and graphics won't be as good, it will still be awesome just not as Awesome.

They still haven't released the pc requirements and with the new 2.0 engine I don't think it will be as heavy as you might think.

"PC PC PC PC PC" :)

Good idea Z, but the local government and family finance council(one person, not me) does not approve such toys. A PC with a high end graphics card could slip through since its more of a tool with for "video editing possibilies":).

And i prefer to dominate the world with a mouse in my hand. I know I'm sick (too) MOUHAHAHA.

Ah Cowhide - I only wish I had the cash to buy a new PC - I might be able to submit a budget proposal to the UK equivalent body that Rix described when th maternity leave is over but that is not till November.

My current PC can't run BFBC2 so there is no chance of BF3

Came across these two vids and thought they were pretty good.

Analysis of Multiplayer and Singleplayer

P.S. For the people who don't have computers to run BF3 or BFBC2 save your pennies cuz this is gonna be mindblowing. Spending 1000 bucks or over to just play these two games is well worth it! :) :) :) :)

hey cowhide, I am considering splashing out on a new machine.
She who must be obeyed will be back to work soon enough which means my pay check becomes my own again :hah: :viva: (I wish!!)

but I got a new job recently in the same organisation and they may take my laptop away and give me - but it came with a pay rise so I might be able to justify it with the home boss

Good to hear! If you do though you should wait til the official min/recommended requirements come out for BF3 so you can gauge what to buy. BFBC2 requirements aren't too bad by today's standards and it's been said by EA that if you can play BFBC2 pretty well then BF3 shouldn't be a problem. But obviously it's best to get the best that you can afford. :)
