I definitely like the idea of having our own server. I had a blast playing on the JiF BC2 server when it was active; not so much fun on other servers where it appeared there was major hacking going on. In fact, I now only play on BC2 servers that have noob or nub in their title, figuring the hard-core hackers will stay away.

I'll probably get it. How about we switch the LFD2 server to a Brink server? Looks like the host we're using now will offer Brink, no cost info yet though.

Yes! We should definitely do that. Also, the sales always get me lol.

I found a link to the hosts pre-order page, so I pre-ordered a server too! I will cancel the LFD2 server, just can't seem to get Zombie Thursdays going...I forget about it a lot myself.

Is this a game where you specialize in one kind of character? If so, might be good to coordinate what we're chossing for Team JiF.

No you can have multiple characters/classes. I did read somewhere that theres a limit( I think it said over 10 characters) but you can always edit your existing ones.

If you check out the game site (click the Brink banner on forum index) there are some good videos about how to play. In one of them it said you can change your character class at any time by visiting one of your teams command stations.

I just realized this game comes out on the 10th...and I leave for Memphis, TN on the 11th. So I'm not sure how much you will see me in the game the first few days this is out. I'll PM a couple people about getting admin rights to the server so there's someone to handle any problems. Hopefully the server is available on the 10th as well!!

I know that when I went on I think it said something about last chance & special kit, but I didn't pay too much attention.
Of course I won't be able to play until the 13th as we Euros get a later release date!!!!
I'll still try on the 10th anyway just in case
Can't wait to game & chat with my old friends again soon.

My computer will not run Brink

I have a Pentium 4 HT 2.8ghz and I need a dual core

My work laptop has a Core i5 but no graphics card

How disappointing!
