I just took a look at Omaha LD Day 1 or so. It is complete different to the nilla map. Can we put it in rotation please. It has a coop version.

I have never played it online and hope it is fun.

Sure , I personally think it's a boring map but would appreciate feedback from other players.
I'll put it it right now. :)

Thanks Shell.
I took a look for 2 minutes at it and thought it could be fun.
I like the variety of a lot of new maps. This gives a slight feeling as if we would play BG ;)

Hey np Alex just because I don't like the map doesn't mean that others will feel the same. If you ask 20 different players about favourite maps you may get 20 different answers. It's good to offer awide variety then there is something for everyone.
This map was only left out because we already had Omaha but I suppose that doesn't matter reeally , the more the merrier. :)

To be honest the Omaha LD Day 1 feels more like the real-life Omaha than the tight vanillia meat grinder. :)

Yeah I agree with you Gnome on that but I personally think that the game play is a bit boring. My favourite Omaha map is the one on FH. :)

Hi Shell
Ok bare in mind I've just had a quick look at these maps but here we go
Supply Line
Large map lots of narrow tracks and railway lines, making it very constrictive and overall I found it boring give it a 2 out of 10

Rheinmetall Panzer
Night map that's all foot fighting and seems to be mostly an objective type map might be fun with enough players reminded me of a Counter Strike type game

D Day
Another night map game play looked a bit limited not too impressed

Giza
small map almost too small 5 main islands joined by a main straight up and down road might get a bit tedious

Invasion of Newfoundland
Night map with 5 islands Axis start at sea reminded me of the Phillipinnes might be fun

Portico Island
Small map bit like a cross between Omaha and Iwa Jima allies start at sea looks a good map to include in rotation

Reichsbahn
Large map lots of armour looks like a lot of work went into this map lots of detail and overall a very nice map give it 10 out of 10
Well that's my input for now kill ya soon matey :shoot:

Rheinmetall Panzer is a cracking map - so much so that it is relatively difficult to win on SP (if you set the AI high)

Giza is not so good,

Supply line is ok if you only have a couple of people as it is quite concentrated.

Battle of the Atlantic is a really fun map if you have enough players (no Bots I'm afraid) each side starts with a BB, couple of Destroyers and subs, like Midway conquest but with no land bases - i would recommend it.

Will post later re. modding resources - have found some good stuff that I forgot about. Will also need to check if Dweller Bentos is still active on the PlanetBattlefield Forums. If you have any questions he is the best guy outside of DICE to answer them.
He also has tons of ready made code for adding vehicles/weapons
P.S. just checked and he was around in Jan which is a good sign but there have only been 2 posts there since. Have tried to get in touch so will await reply.

My two favorite maps are Reinmetal & Reichbahn (if you have enough players). I played these two alot on Pixel-Fighter.
D-day & Portico - so so
Newfoundland looks fun
Giza is ok, and I love the buzz bombs!
Supply Line is ok too.

Thanks Shell.

Reinmetal is my favorite. It reminds me of Medal of Honor: Frontline!

I agree with DaftGeordie. Everything that he said X2. Newfoundland could be cool with a bunch of people.

The reason why I asked people in my pm not to post feedback on the new map pack here on the forums but rather to pm me was to try and not influence others as to whether they should download the map pack or not.
As we can see some people dislike map A but love map B, others vice versa and so on... ask ten different players and get ten different opinions.

Mind you I suppose as soon as you put a "Do not touch this lever" sign on anything, the temptation is too great for some so I guess I had it coming! :hah:

Anyway once we get them in the rotation let's see how they play and hopefully there is something there for everyone.
