Homefront
Is any one thinking of getting this? It looks pretty good. I just dont know if I want to pre order or not. http://www.homefront-game.com/#/home Steam has some good videos of it.
Re: Homefront
I am definitely picking up homefront. Been looking forward to the game ever since it was announced.

Re: Homefront
If it only it was an RPG game <3 It would fit perfect with a KOTOR/Fallout/Oblivion style in a deserted US (Although that sounds like Fallout) as a rebel, gathering a resistance group.
But the multiplayer part sounds cool

Re: Homefront
I haven't played the PC version yet, so this is strictly a console opinion (PS3), but the game is only OK.
The story is intense, and entertaining. The writing was obviously done well as it brings you into the game, and keeps you there. However, the game is short, roughly 5 hours. There's a lack of substance here. I definitely expected more.
Graphics are outdated, as well as the physics engine (definitely no BFBC2.)
Multi-Player is very enjoyable though. Not really into it on the PS3, but I'm sure it would convert nicely on the PC.
Overall 7/10
Summary: Only buy if you have extra money to spend (tax return maybe?) Otherwise, look for a torrent to play single-player, or just wait for the price to drop.

Re: Homefront
Well... singleplayer sounds good, but after reading the 90% of posts on the Steam forum, I won't be getting it. The Multiplayer part has been fried alot! Snipers are OP, and well..... take a look: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/f ... php?f=1053" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Homefront
Looks great!
Did you know that most of the developers from this game were the creators of the awesome Desert Combat mod?
And Cesar. Were the wookies from BC2 enough for you?

Que? Wookies, as the guys running around knifing ya? Haven't met anyone yet :O
Well... I get BSOD with BFBC2 after 20 min of gameplay (No other games)... Temps are fine while playing, all drivers are updated. I modded the .inf file from a GTX 550 Ti driver to get higher FPS on Dragon Age II, so I thought that'd be the problem, but changing to an original GTX 470 driver didn't change anything. I've updated my audio drivers. Turned off my onboard sound from BIOS, and only used my Logitech driver. I've also updated Punkbuster, but with no success. And Google won't give me any more answers on BFBC2 BSOD problems....

Re: Homefront
$25 on steam right now and theres a multiplayer demo.
Already put in 5 hours in the mp (only has 2 maps and a couple unlocks) and I think its great. A good blend of Call of Duty and Battlefield. Im suprised that theres so many bad reviews, granted its been patched alot.
Nothing incredible about the graphics but the explosion effects are pretty cool. The gameplay is cerainly there. No problems running it on my pc so I will be grabbing it. You wont have to play alone Smuckers
Hopefully the sale will bring some more players. I might be able to run a server of of the current Arma server pc.
