Call of Duty Black Ops
Call of Duty Black Ops
I would like to know if anyone would be into playing this game? I have played Call of Duty 4 modern warfare. i will get BF3 it sounds good except the up-grade, i just hate to spend money. i have not bought the game of which i speak, yet. I just wanted to see if there was interrest.
Re: Call of Duty Black Ops
If i could give you the one i purchased i would do so willingly.
I played Black Ops and find it a disappointment.
I get killed right after i spawn quite often.
There are no safe spawn points (safe zones) and some maps are worse than others.
I also don't like the fact that whoever gets the Helicopter gunship,it always highligts the enemy and no way to hide.
In my opinion BFBC2 and LFD2 are much better.
EDIT>>>>>
My games are all PC version and someone told me console is different on the spawn points in Black Ops..
I have CoD,CoD2,CoD WaW,and Black Ops.
CoD WaW seems to be the best so far of the Call of Duty series.
I also have BF1942,BF Vietnam, BF2, BFBC2 and BFBC2 Vietnam.
BFBC2 seems to be the best of the Battlefield series.
Graphics are cool but if the game doesn't flow smoothly or it makes you angry to think about playing it, then something is wrong.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops
Call of Duty 4 was great! Then Word at War was released which was more like a WWII mod to MW, with zombies and bad maps. Then *cough *cough Modern Warfail 2 which was just a copy-and-paste of CoD 4 with different weapons, more killstreaks, and silly perks like Commando.
Horribly inbalanced, full of hackers, glitchy and filled of 8-year old kids, screaming in the mic when someone hardscopes them(that's just sad), is just a few of the bad things about MW2. It turned out to be some of the most unserious games ever. Sure the Singleplayer was epic, but the MP was totaly broken. And then Black Ops. After MW2 I wanted to give the franchise 1 more chance. I was hoping for a game with alot of new gameplay elements. I was wrong. The Wager Match seemed cool, the CoD points currency seemed cool, the Cold War/Vietnam setting seemed great. And when I finished my first round I was like:"Copy and paste as usual." Activision is milking the Call of Duty franchise now. I won't even think about wasting my money on a boring, unbalanced and broken game!
CoD is for kids.
Battlefield is for the real gamers/men.
Nuff said.

Meh.... I hate how people that like Battlefield can't like CoD & the other way around D:Gnome-father wrote:Call of Duty 4 was great! I haven't played MW/MW2/WaW, so I can't compare them to it. Of course those who played the previous ones & tries the new ones won't like it if it feels pretty much the same. But BO was the first CoD game I've played for my self (Well... I have played some CoD games on consoles with friends a couple times). Anyway... I like Black Ops. I especially like sniping. I love playing on Sniper Only servers. And also enjoy playing sniper on normal servers... Ofc other classes are fun, but I prefer sniping ^^ It has alot of customization options. Up to two attachments on your primary weapons, one to secondary, perks, reticle colours, Camo's & much more.
So, if you haven't played the Modern Warfare games, then I believe it'd be fun to play BO.
The games I'm gonna play in 2011 will be BO, Crysis 2 (Can max it ^^), Dragon Age II, Brink & BF3

Ok, don't even dare buying Crysis 2! It's a CoD copying console port![JiF]Cesar wrote:The games I'm gonna play in 2011 will be BO, Crysis 2 (Can max it ^^), Dragon Age II, Brink & BF3
My cousin tried the demo yesterday, but once he saw "Press START to continue" he uinstaled the game.
I've heard that the PC version is a little broken. You should rather buy Crysis 1. That was a game made for PC only. Crysis 2 is a multiplatform game. Unlike Battlefield 3 it's optimized for consoles!
Watch this video.

Stay away!
And let me list up some CoD elements Crysis 2 features:
-Smaaaaall maps
-Killstreaks
-Perks(I hate perks!)
And look at this!
The game is very blurry too.
And Dragon Age II is also going multiplatform so get the original Dragon Age.
Don't let Black Ops steal your soul! Come back on our new server so I can PWN YOU!

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops
I've played the demo, I think it's awesome. Ok, some aspects are similar to CoD. But I've played both, and they are quite different in-game. I like them both. I've played the original Dragon Age. Awesome. I've played the demo of Dragon Age II, AWESOME.
@Shell, Yea, I'll prolly drop in once in a while ^^

Yea I did
Who cares if the "Press start to continue" is on the PC version? You still can enter the game. It's only on the demo, so that really doesn't mean alot for the complete game that is coming. It's also possible to play the PC version with an Xbox-controller, so maybe that's why it's there.
Anyway.. this is getting a bit off topic.....

No! That means that the game has been ported![JiF]Cesar wrote:Gnome-father wrote:Didn't you noticed the "Press start to continue" on Crysis 2?

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops
I don't understand the complaints about the graphics. I'm running the game at Hardcore, 1920 x 1080 LED monitor & It runs smooth, looks great & I have no problem with the motion blur.
There are vehicle controls on the options menu, so that means vehicles are coming = bigger maps. Demo is without vehicles and that's why the maps are small.
It's entertaining, the graphics are nice. So if it's a CoD-copy, console-designed game, then I really don't care.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops
If you don't have Crysis 1 then please spend your money on Crysis 1 first. Then buy Crysis 2, Ok?
Please try Crysis 2 on your Xbox, and compare the graphics with the PC version. If the PC version is better I'll donate 50 peanuts to you. If they're the same(console port) YOU donate 50 peanuts to me!
Deal?
