BF42 Server Donations **10-1-13**
Re: BF42 Server Donations
Just an update.
I'm back home now, I was traveling and working away from home the last few days. I ordered a server 2 days ago but the host is having some trouble getting it setup right. They don't have many BF42 customers.... Hopefully by the end of today it will be all worked out and we'll be back up and running. It's a 32 player server in the New York area, I'll post a new thread with all the info once it's running.

Re: BF42 Server Donations
unflippingbelievable!
I though I'll log into paypal and set a $5 monthly donation and when I get there the cupboard is not so much bare as its had the doors, hinges and shelves removed!
Some Chinese dude call Cheng Chak Wa (that is not what I have been calling him today) has hacked my paypal and paid himself £150 in 3 installments over the last week.
this has emptied the few £££ I had in the account and send my bank A/C overdrawn. What a %$^&*"£(" cheek!
I'm going to chinatown tonight to thump a random stranger in revenge!
The good news is that paypal thought the transactions were suspicious and put a block on them and also limited my account to stop any more payments...Phew!

Re: BF42 Server Donations
Paypal has a nice security feature I enabled after mine got hacked to the tune of like $1600... a year or so ago. Now when I log in they send me a code via text to my cell phone that I also need to login. I also removed my bank account from my paypal account lol. It took me a few weeks to resolve it, but Paypal was good about taking care of it. Hope it all works out for you!
Re: BF42 Server Donations
how is that even possible, with todays security proto-calls. i mean , i run avg free, spybot, and c-cleaner. i have never had a virus or been hacked to date. i dont know much about computers but , for me its hard to see how they can hack you with-out a key logger virus or something.

Re: BF42 Server Donations
Max,
It was not my computer that was hacked, it was my dormant Yahoo mailbox.
A quick google search for yahoo Hacked will reveal that many others have had this problem.
since I had used this account to set up a whole load of accounts (Facebook, Amazon, Paypal etc...) and was lax they were able to get all of my passwords etc.. and access the accounts.

Re: BF42 Server Donations
How are we doing on the server fund? Is it time to put some money in the server pot?
Re: BF42 Server Donations **3-28-13**
I have updated the first and second posts in this topic. In the first post I added a new button for clan pay, which sends money directly to the server host. The second topic I updated with a new way to track donations and expenses, and added recent info up to today.

Just donated $30 via the clan link and the balance went from -$29.95 to -$59.95
So, we have a credit balance.
Keep it going!
