Nilla Night!
OK Jiffers - with all the talk about how 2142 stinks yada, yada, yada - it's time to return to the original!
I've seen Thos, WB, Step and some others on pretty regularly. What night would work for most of you?
I'm amazed at how much fun I still have with '42 and even FH.
What say you?!?!?!

I played a little over the weekend. I'm in for tonight.(BDU)opcenter wrote:Are you talking original, old-school, full-on BF1942 with no additives?
I'm SO up for that.
We had 16 live people type things on... Monday? and tried to turn the bots off but I think it was only semi-successful. I'll try to figure out a way to start up with bots but be able to flip them off once we have enough people to go Vanilla.
My only clause is that I have to be on the opposite team as WB. He's still the most fun to kill.

While this is not directly BF1942 related, it deals with Desert Combat..
I'm running into an issue where the game seems to lag, as if you set the textures to Super High but your computer only likes Low, that kind of "stutter" lag. It runs the same at all low settings w/ low resolution and all high settings. It doesn't make any sense. Someone mentioned to test the sound which I'll do when I have a chance this weekend. BF1942 runs perfectly fine. BF2 runs better than DC
I can also wait until the end of next week seeing as my Motherboard RMA at newegg finally got approved and a new replacement will ship tomorrow hopefully

Check your sound, but if you are using an ATI card (I dunno if its the same for GeForce) use the ATI gui thingy to force the game to run at 60 HZ and not match your desktop settings. Seemed to me that no matter what I set it to in the game if I did not force it to 60 with the ATI gui it was jumpy. And yes it does not run as smooth as BF2 even though BF2 requires more horse power at least for me.I'm running into an issue where the game seems to lag, as if you set the textures to Super High but your computer only likes Low, that kind of "stutter" lag.
