Displeased with JiF Admining last night

Post by duffman »

Sunday night I was playing the Essen Map and was very disappointed with the Admin(s) on the map. (I will not name.)
I was on Red with 3 other players and Blue had 8. I stated "Teams" but got back from a JiF member, Stop your whining. :wtf: Hmmmmmmm???

JiF rule:
"2. BALANCE teams always! If you are just getting onto the server, make sure you check the balance before continuing. If you notice you are on the heavy side of an unbalanced game, don''t say "teams", SWITCH teams, especially if you are in JiF!" :?

(Keep in mind there was 4 JiF players on the map, 3 on the Blue(heavy side) team)

I continued to play on. I was actually having several good fights with HOGAN at the Blue Airfield several times. In the end I was able to steal a plane.

Then, (this is what got to me), I was told to take a flag by a JiF member(and ADMIN!) who was on the BLUE team because people were leaving the server and I was the last RED guy alive.
*In my mind to the Admin: "Why did you not BALANCE the teams? Daaaa! I :problem: s poor admining on your side make it an emergency on mine?"

So, I took a flag and Red team came back.

BUT instead of balancing the team, NOPE, the JiF member took the flag away again.

The only person that swapped teams was HOGAN(thank you sir).

I never gripe and I ALWAYS balance teams when I see it or it is brought to my attention, that should go with out stating. What is the fun of winning when it is lop sided.

Moral of the story:
If your an admin, act like one. Don't break your OWN rules.'

Thank you, sorry for the rant.
Duff Man!!!
I am standing right behind you.

Just a suggestion.
Why don't you send a PM to Tissueman with the name and i'm sure he will be able to handle it.
That way everything can stay confidential.

I am not asking for whipping to be handed out, just an FYI.

Players take notice to P.P.A.

Fist of all I was not participating in this game , just to make things clear.
It's interesting however Duff how you were involved in a battle with Hogan at the blue airfield when your red team were struglling to hold flags.
I personally find this playing strategy most annoying and selfish. If you steal a plane on Essen then you can effectively pin down the entire blue force trying to leave the airfield especially with your low ping.
Meanwhile your red team mates will get rather bored while you are enjoying your one man battle with the blues , perhaps that's why they left your team.
I have seen you do this on Essen before and in future if I see you doing it again as an admin I will ask you to back off.
Maybe the admin who you accuse in this thread has also observed your type of gameplay and was simply exasperated with you.
In short Duff , people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

I will not disagree with you Shell about the strategy of taking a plane( I'm guilty of it in the past and will not deny it). I prefer flying than ground pounding but this was not the case.

My point was, I pointed out a team imbalance(in the beginning), while defending flags, and got the stop your whining remark.

Since the admin/JiF members preferred to keep the imbalance, and the last flag went gray, I then proceeded to take on the "every player for themselves" routine.

This is my last post in this thread ... If you have issues with a JiF admin or any player for that matter , it is far better to send them a PM and resolve the problem in a private and mature way.

i think u did good by pointing it out duff, every once in a while people forget that they have the JiF tag that stands for fun play for everyone and i have myself been in that same situation before, where not even a fellow jif would switch (note: i will not switch in theres only 20-30 tickets left and all the enemies switch to my team to be on the winning score board), i have kicked fellow jiffers before cuase no one wanted to switch 2 maps i a row, so i got mad and kicked them all one after the other. some got kinda mad about what i did but after that teams werent stacked anymore.

i think a reminder once i a while is good. so all Jif and regulars take note to plz even out teams if necesary( meaning it doenst amtter how many bots are on one team, even oput the humans--->same amount of humans on each side----> humans are the ones with the little extra nr. at the end just in case someone doesnt know:-). bots will move bythemself)
