Roman Invasion

Hi fellas thought you might like to see some pics I took at an event last summer it took place at an ancient Roman fort at a place called Corbridge. This was the first time in almost 2000 years that a full century of legionnaires returned to the fort.
The re-enactment groups were from the UK and parts of Europe giving displays of drill and weapons training.
The dragons head standard that the cavalryman holds makes a loud screaming noise when the wind rushes through it scarey stuff if you were some ancient brit LOL
I love anything to do with the Romans so this was a pretty magical day.

They look impressive when there is a big group like that.
Me like Roman history stuff too. My in-laws used to dig Roman stuff up in their back garden when they lived in Aldborough in Yorkshire.
It was a major town/city in Roman times. Seems strange when you see the sleepy little village now.
