BG42 installation instructions

I stole this from the BG42 forums.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) install the Battlefield 1942 game.

2) If you own any of the XPacks (Road to Rome, Secret Weapons) install them in the following order

2 a) Road to Rome
2 b) Secret Weapons

3) install the patch "battlefield_1942_patch_v1.6.19.exe"

4) install the patch "battlefield_1942_incremental_patch_v1.6_to_v1.61b"

5) Install the PunkBuster update using THIS LINK. Download the file and run it. Be sure to read the instructions that it displays, all it does is give you the latest PunkBuster files so you don't get booted for an outdated PunkBuster. (PunkBuster will not auto-update! You must do this!)

6) Optional: install the EA Matchmappack "bf1942_match_mappack_v1.0"
(Maps: Remagen, Great Pursuit, Faid Pass, Operation Forager)

7) install Battlegroup42 1.7 Full Client (make sure you have all 5 files properly downloaded!)

Execute them in EXACTLY this order !

Some other tips:

If you ´re having problems installing the files, shut down your anti virus program PRIOR to installation. There seem to be some AV programs causing problems when installing exe files. We are NOT responsible for corrupted files, all files in our download section are fully functional.

If possible, do NOT use download managers !!! As ridiculous as it may sound, it´s a fact that some download managers actually screw up files during download or change file names !

We are also not responsible for screwed installations of Battlefield 1942. Our installers don´t change ANYTHING inside the main bf1942 folder, they simply copy the mod files into the mod folder. No files are deleted, moved or overwritten.
Also, do NOT use no-cd files or trainer programs. We take no responsibility for problems caused by such illegal programs.

If you can play bf42, I would think bg42 would work as it is just a mod.

Nope...1.7 is stand alone, it's all you need.

I updated link and instructions. I haven't tested the process myself yet, but I believe those are the steps.
