I bought the BF1942 collection and loaded it on my laptop. Everything works but the SW maps when i play online. I get an invalid cd code. What do the collective JiF minds suggest I do? I have checked the code in regdedit and it is correct. My google-foo has not be able to come up with any recommendations except reload which hasnt produced any change for me.

Yep, Duff had the same problem, he contacted EA and they sent him a new cd.
Unfortunately this cd also didn't work.
He contacted EA again, and once again they sent him a cd, which also did not work.
He then contacted EA once more, and as usual they sent him another cd which didn't work.
I believe he went through this procedure 4 or 5 times, before finally getting a cd that actually worked.
Sorry Maus, I know this is not encouraging news. Try contacting EA of course, as Duff did, patience may pay off ultimately. Also get in touch with Duff as he'd be the best person to shed some light on this issue, having a LOT of experience with the faulty batches of SW cd's.

I bought two copies of the game because my original was scratched pretty bad.
I just went into the registry and typed in the old cd code on the SW install that had the invalid CD key.
What's really odd is that both of the new ones o bought had invalid CD keys on the SW install.
I didn't do a complete reinstall ,i just tested the new keys in the registry.

Just to clarify my post, I was having a similar proboem and foudn out that I had not updated to 1.6b. My error messages said something like "Wrong version."

Be sure to say that you are displeased with their product quality and they will get back to you right away, else you will wait for 2 days for a reply.
