Apparently even after declaring BluRay the winner in the HD race it's failed to achieve any real market penetration. The last I heard it was still below 5% of all DVD sales which indicates very low acceptance in the marketplace. I listened to an "industry expert" being interviewed on the CBC and he expressed some real fear that if BluRay doesn't garner greater market share it will be knocked off by some future new format or simply fade away.
