Hello all

I am DJ Errorproned. I have come to JIF to offer something fun. I am an online DJ or Shoutcaster. I call the play by play during a match live over the internet.

People can listen to the all the action from the stream through winamp, windows media, quicktime, etc. Then the show is compressed and uploaded to an archive where others who missed it can download and enjoy.

IMAGINE HEARING THIS FOR EXAMPLE: (insert your own name)

and here's a shot from Jimbo and it finds its mark. That 75 on his Sherman just hammered the already damaged Tiger...but wait the Tiger is returning fire. BAM Jimbo and his Sherman are toast!

I know our pretty forums leads one to believe that we are incredibly well organized, but the reality is that we are more like a loose federation of city states than a monarchy. We operate under the philosophy of 'situational leadership'. Whoever wants to lead something can as long as they keep it JiF-like. There have been some organized matches that would lend themselves to your service, but I really haven't been keeping up with the current schedule -- I have no idea if they are even playing any matches now. If you are talking about shoutcasting our normal playing, then whoever is playing would have to make some arrangements with you. You can post or PM me specific questions. I'm sure if someone wants to use your services they'll contact you.

Well, since JIF is not in a league and formal matches vs other teams are not a regular thing, my efforts may be applicable ONLY for a special event.


Maybe an event within JIF, 8 v 8 of Red vs Blue, old members vs new, whatever you like.

If we do something like this, I assure you, your call sign will become infamous and take its place within Internet lore!

How you tore up that T34 in your Tiger or zooked a Sherman...

Also know I make your match sound like its really going around the world with millions listening. I have commercials about ficticious products, news alerts, and dedications which I include in the edited version you get with the download mp3 file.

I don't think TS2 is running anymore. We do have a TS3 server. See the Teamspeak area for details.

Do you have Battlefield Bad Company 2, or Left for Dead 2? I think it would be pretty fun to have a announcer for our Zombie Thursday matches. I'm not sure how you would observe in either though. An interesting idea anyway... definitely keep you mind if something comes up.
