Sleep mode

Post by Gnome-father »

Something strange has happend to my computer. When im finished for the day im trying again to set the computer in standby mode but then the screen turns blue with alot of numbers and some words. I dunno whats written because it is just shown in 0.2 sec. then it reboots. If i log on my profile it appears an error message thats says: The system was restored after a serious failure. And when i set it in standby again it turns to standby but the fan(s) are still running. Why the standby is really important for me is that it takes 1 min. from start the system to the profile selection. Then it takes 10 min. from the anti-virus to auto update(takes alot of CPU. Got Intel Pentium 4 2.4ghz  another thing to blame on when bf lags), auto log-on on steam and then start BF1942. It started with this failure after i tried my new keyboard. It got a shut-down key. I tried it then the screen turns blue and the same thing happens with the standby mode. The computer rebooted itself 3 times that day. The screen sudden turned blue and the same way all the time. Another thing is that the screensaver dosent run. :( do you know the problem and knows how to fix it? Please post. :) my OS is WIN XP 32bit.

To start with the the blue screen with the white numbers and letters and such is called BSOD which stands for Blue Screen of Death. If you can remember when this started you can try a system restore to a couple of days before and see if that fixes it. The next thing to fix it with is a complete format and reinstall of your OS.

The bad thing about BSOD's is when you get the first one they will keep happening until most of the time a format and reinstall is done.
