I've been watching the news about 'Snowmaggedon'...

Post by [JiF]ALargeWoodenBadger »

I've also seen this storm called 'snowpocalypse'. Both terms seem so final, so 'end of days'. Both of these terms seem grossly unfair to Mother Nature and at a time like this do we really want to piss Mom off? So I am proposing the use of a more friendly term 'snow-a-palooza' All the hyperbole of the snowpocalypse and the finality snowmaggedon but portraying a 'Mother Nature wouldn't try to kill you if she didn't love you' kind of storm.

The beauty of this storm is it's going to miss us. :D So I can watch it on TV and make glib comments. It's a nice change. Of course I may have to phone my brother and gloat a little. He received 18" of the white stuff yesterday - it came in riding 100km winds and drifting over everything in its path.

lmao Badger

once we had a blizzard that burried the door half. it was so much snow in our garden that we could climb out the 1st floor window and slide down the roof and fall 1 meter down in soft, delightful snow. norway have extreme and cold winters(-1 to -25 home at us)and sunny and hot summers(20 to 30 home at us!) and badger, you made me laugh of the chair! :hah:
