Good Luck.
Another story. I enlisted in late 1973 or early 1974 after I did not get drafted on a delayed enlistment program. Which meant I got to pick a class A school and would go to boot camp at a date for which you would complete boot camp just before the class A school started.
Anyway 4 of my friends enlisted around the same time. They all went in before me. I like to think it was only because I did better than them on the tests and got a guaranteed school Back to the point of it. I had to report to boot camp in September of 74. About two weeks before I left I got a letter from one of my friends who was in boot camp. The only thing the letter said was "You'll be sorry!" That pretty much scared the [Grimp] outta me. Two weeks later I was very sorry
Boot camp in the Coast Guard at least back then was no piece of cake. Good news is I got over it in 4 years
