This is an older system that has PCI.
Is there an AGP slot?

Re: Need a new Video card
This is what i found of AGP: "Intel(R)82865G\PE\P Processor to AGP Controller - 2571"
If that doesnt sound right, then where can i see if i have an AGP slot?

Re: Need a new Video card
The AGP slot should be possibly brown in color and above the top PCI slot.

Re: Need a new Video card
Look between the PCI slots and you will see the model and make of the motherboard you have. If you find that post it and that will help a bunch.

Re: Need a new Video card
Those numbers worked fine. For the best vid card for that PC which is an AGP slot which went with the dinosaurs and the pickins are slim and few any more since no one really makes AGP cards any more I would suggest this one here.

That card is biggest one you will find in an AGP unless you come across someone that still has some of the other AGP cards in stock or buy one from Ebay. Other then that your next step would be to upgrade your PC. I can get some barebones systems every now and then for around $200-$250 and sometimes Tiger Direct has some pretty decent barebones systems at a reasonable price. I think tiger direct had a good little barebones system a week or so ago for $200 which would have made you a nice big step above what you have. They also had one last week for $299 which was a complete system but you had to build it.
