Have any of you had this problem? Each time I start my PC its resets the Monitor Refresh rate to 60Hz. I have to go into the control panel and put it back where it belongs (85hz) after every restart. Grrrrrrrrrrr, damn inconvenient.
Any idea how I can fix this annoyance?
System:
XP Home SP3 - fully updated
Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus/malware
NVidia GeForce 7800 GTX PCIE video card
E8400 (core2Duo @ 3GHz CPU)
4GB RAM (3.25 actually recognized by XP)
2x 80 SATA HDs
Creative Audigy 2 ZS sound card
some kind of motherboard - possibly an orangey-brownish one
Fairly clean start-up with only the anti-virus loading on boot and with only about 20 services running in the background.
