Thank GOD it's not just me. Us old people are very sensitive about gas. Especially when there is no pet around to blame.

I wondered why my laptop had developed this sudden wind problem. I just put it down to it's age & tried to be polite & ignore it. Didn't want to hurt its feelings!
Of course the work machine is fine as I use Firefox there & the machine is younger.

Front page of forums I have had it happen on another site too. Can't remember which one.
I gave a quick look at the source code, but it looked like too much work and I got distracted

Could be but I have never had an error sound that sounds like farting before
Still it could be something on the site it is blocking.

I unchecked the sound thingy on the chat box and I think the fart has stopped.
I think I will check it again because I miss the little fart noise already
Only happens just after the page loads, not when someone chats though, so you would not think they are related.

I just heard that fart thingy twice while i was working.
I wonder why it did it twice within about 5 seconds?

Yes it could be the shoutbox , my machine has been farting ever since the new shoutbox was installed lol!

Yeah, it's definately related to the shoutbox, and I've heard several different sounds, including the fart. At first I thought it was the shoutbox refreshing, but it wasn't synchronized, now I'm thinking that it's related to forum activity as well. I heard the fart once as someone logged into the forum, and other sounds when it seemed some-one had just posted. But maybe I'm talking utter rubbish
