das uber elite armyman
I'm going to go see an army recruiter again today, and try to get a date to go to MEPs.
I joined last february, but had to cancel my contract due to some technicalities.
One thing I didn't like though is that my recruiter isn't allowed to go into the army laiasion's office with me.
WTF!!
that guy is supposed to be like my [GRIMPED] lawyer.
How am i supposed to know all the things covered in my contract are flawless.
I have a friend who's an ex-jag lawyer, should i bring him.
arrrrgh!
wish me luck.

I can't speak for your particular recruiter, but I highly recommend you don't use them as your "lawyer". Bring somebody who beyond all doubt has your best interests in mind. Recruiters are compensated based on getting you "in". No matter how nice they are they are going to recommend only one course of action.

Dandy is right. The recruiter doesn't necessarliy have your vested interests at heart. I used to get a lot of airman coming to me with complaints about what they had been promised. The recruiters had never lied to them. They just didn't explain that loading bombs and rockets on an airplane was consider a mechanical job just like being an aircraft mechanic. Of course, if you are an aircraft mechanic you can easily translate that to a civilian job. Hanging bombs on airplanes doesn't translate as well.
You should also be able to take paperwork home and look it over or have someone look it over. Don't feel obligated to sign right now.
The military has a lot to offer, but it's hit or miss a lot of times as to how things match.

You may have not seen it in the forum there is a magic thingy that replaces it with something else, but you see the raw unedited version in the RSS feed.

Patriot eh? If you ever have the pleasure of working with EDCS, I sincerely apologize, but it was built and deployed long before I started here.
In case you wondering, I do a lot of work with the IT systems supporting Patriot and other missile systems. That's about all I'll say in an open forum. Please check in now and then and let me know how things are going. If you do get the opportunity to work with the systems my folks design and support I would like to know what the soldiers really think about the stuff.
