Assistance requested?

If someone would be so kind as to tell me what the requirements are for running Battle Ground 1942, and telling me how I can set it up I would greatly appreciate the assist here.

I've tried to install it, but so far it keeps stopping and it won't continue loading/running.

I'm not certain my computer can even run it, but like everyone else I wanna see what all the hub bub is about?

So if someone would please get back to me on this with the necessary information I would be very thankful?

I've had problems with my RAM memory. But thats in-game.

Here's the requirements:
2048MB RAM
Video Card 256MB RAM
CPU 2.00 GHz

This is caught from the Readme file for BattleGroup42. It only says what they recommend you to have. So you can play with a little less than i wrote. I had 512MB RAM and thats too small. But from about 1.5GB and up it works good.

Well then by your estimations Cesar I should be able to play, but I still don't know where the files are to be installed?

You've downloaded it all? Part 1, 2 and 3? And the EA Map Pack?

Here's where it should be: C:\Programfiler\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods
Do you use WinRAR? I know that works to extract.

FT I'm running it on a laptop with this in it

Pentium M 2.00 GHz
Windows XP
1.00 Gb Ram
ATI Mobility Radeon X600 128Mb

I do pretty well too. Takes longer to load maps than some of the others playing, but works OK.

The maps go in a separate battlegroup42 directory in the mods path like Cesar says.
You should get sub directories from that of Archives then bf1942 in that then levels directory in there. The maps should all be in the levels directory.

Well thanks guys!

I have all the downloads including this one bg42_1.20_windows_client_update, now all I need is the path by which to install these.
I did try the one(s) provided but it didn't boot up, so unless I made an error (more than likely) I'd just like a clear path so that I can try again?

Did you look at my link? The install will put the files where they need to be, and the linked files are the only ones you need.
