What Browser Are You Using
I've been using Firefox, but it has a habit of crashing. It very kindly brings everything back, but it is a pain to deal with. I DL'd Chrome. Anybody using Chrome? What do you recommend?

Re: What Browser Are You Using
I've been using Firefox too for about a month and it's never crashed once. Work great, way better than Internet Explorer. When I downloaded mine they just updated to a new version. Have you thought about re-downloading and re-installing it? Maybe and earlier version screwed something up and the newer version fixed it ( if it automatically updated it may not have fixed the problem) . So I would suggest a clean uninstall - reinstall.

Re: What Browser Are You Using
I've read before that if using Firefox its best to get rid of IE from the comp,
you can't uninstall it so the best way to do it is to change the filename then manually delete.
that said I use IE and have never had a problem, no Viruses or major issues
Its much better since IE8 came out

Re: What Browser Are You Using
I've been using Firefox for about 8 months now with no problems whatsoever. And I did not rid my computer of IE7 either.
But hey, I'm the one who never had problems with Vista, BF1942 and PunkBuster

Re: What Browser Are You Using
i use IE8 as im on win 7 and chrome.
Chrome does have a tendency to crash now and again, IE is solid and loads quickly when you change the homepage away from msn.com.
Im not sure what difference there is between IE (x64) and normal IE, both come with 7 tho, I guess its the amount of ram they can use, but then again since when will a browser be using that much rammage?!

Re: What Browser Are You Using
I've used Firefox since version 2. I notice that some of the plug-ins are a little iffy at best (could never get Quicktime to run as a browser addition, but I rarely use it). Firefox is really reliable, IMO, but there are occasions where I will open a site with bad code and whenever Firefox restarts itself, it continues to try to open the bad site too, causing (shock) another crash. If you close it fast enough, you're usually fine.
I only use Firefox at home, though at work I use a combo of Firefox and Opera. I like Opera because of all the cool widgets, but its web-browsing is slow and unstable with Javascript sometimes. I separate the two - Opera for the widgets and backup browsing, Firefox for primary work and browsing.

Re: What Browser Are You Using
I use a mixture of Firefox & IE8.
My weapon of preference is Firefox (the latest version seems much faster than the previous one). I do like the add ons that I have at the bottom of the screen.
I still have to use IE8 at work as the banking website I have to interact with thoughout the day is not compatible with Firefox!! It does seem to have some issues with java scripts occasionally which annoys me as I do not always look at the screen & miss the error & then wonder why my site isn't loading.

Re: What Browser Are You Using
Chrome is my primary browser and for most occasions is terrific, however IE 7 is in use particularly with flash based sites that cause trouble for Chrome.
It's been quite a while since I used one browser exclusively. It's running 85% Chrome and 15% IE 7. Firefox was running very slow for some reason and despite pulling all kinds of rabbits it's not the same, however it's still a good browser.

Re: What Browser Are You Using
Does anybody use Firefox with XP Media? I'm sick of having internet issues with IE.
What happens to Outlook Express?
Thanks,
