It's Hot Outside

Post by [JiF]Bier »

For the last 2 month's just about every day here in San Antonio , Texas the temperature has been over 100*F  . Today's high is 102*F It sucks having to work outside in this heat . I Have been working on the roof @ a school running 2" gas pipe . We've been putting in 60 hour's a week since school let out :D .I Can't complain about the overtime . But i sure could do without the heat my face is red like a tomato with all the sun exposure  .

I think we ought to set up a weather exchange program.
We'll swap you some of our dull damp summer for a touch of the hot stuff. May be we could start off with a couple of weeks trial to see how it goes.
I do not think we would be able to cope with those sort of temperatures though. A few weeks back we had about a week of temps in the high 70's low 80's & it caused panic. We apparently now have government warning levels & they issued a category two then upgraded to three. The best comment I heard when we were discussing what a load of baloney it was, "we used to call this a nice summer's day"

**Edit** I found a web page which where they come up with this stuff! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/heathealth/

Up here in Michigan it's been in the mid 70's most of the summer except for one week where it was in the low 90's.
I'll send some cool lake breeze down to Texas for you.

What he said but switch "Michigan" for "Ontario". We have only had the A/C on for that one week (somewhat happy about the electrical bill savings, but sad about the fact that it isn't warm enough to have the A/C on).

Ya but does it not start at around supper time and end just after you put the dishes away?
I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

I'll take it  I like it when the temperature is in the 70's perfect fall weather or winter high since it don't get to cold down here in winter . I hate the summers down here but love the winter since we get 2 weeks of real cold weather other than that its not bad during winter . I think it's only snowed here like maybe 3 or 4 times that I can remember :viva: .
