Nuts in the training jar again...

Post by [JiF]War Trophy »

Some quickly edited footage from Friday nights impromptu session on the Training Jar.
Bunch of lunatics in my opinion :hihi: :hah:

EDIT July17 '09
Navy Seals and Gib received their JiF membership shortly after I made this video, which is why the [JiF] tag does not appear next to their names in the end credits.
I also forgot to include
[JiF]Cesar in the end credits, a silly oversight on my part!  sorry about that Cesar, I'll buy you a beer when you're 18 :viva:
The music I used was:
Bad Reputation - Joan jett & the blackhearts
Born To Be Wild - The Cult.

If anyone wants a copy of these JiF videos, PM me for a download.

Wow, wish I'd been there to experienced it live! :(

The crazy flipperball-wannabe driving in the hangar and the cirkular shape of the tunnel seen 6:00min in the video
gives me ideas to do some loop/rolls in that tunnel with a jeep. Maybe a good scene for part III.
Keep on the good work WT, very good video (and "marketing" for JiF!!)

Waaaalolol. Thats a great vid man! How do you get top down angles and extreme 3rd person views like that?

With the music, its soo cool that some parts seem choreographed! wow man great editing!

I use the death cam a lot to get the angles, and cycle through players with the "C" key to see who's doing something "extreme" lol.
If I see Corn or Tristan in a jeep I just know it's gonna be a riot!
For the JiF 2009 video I used mainly the Free Look Camera to pan around the battlefield, but I think the best results are produced with the death cam, for those extreme angles.

I do "choreograph" the video to the music as much as possible, fairly simple, I'll zoom into the appropriate frame in the editor and line it up with a particular beat or part of the music. In this screenshot, you'll see the explosion frame lined up perfectly with a strong beat in the wave form. It's fun to do and makes the video a little more dynamic :)

Glad you guys appreciate this stuff, now that the JiF community has grown, we'll have to do some more organized videos. Thinking about making one to highlight Custom Map Mondays!

Yeah! I enjoyed being involved in the making of the first "organized" video so much. Can't wait for the next one to be done... :D

You should put Steve Earle's "Where I lead Me" from his Townes CD on that as background. This is a song made for BF1942 action.
