I may "double-dip" and get it for one of the consoles and definitely for the PC.

Going to be an expensive game if I have to buy a console to play it on!!
I guess they will get round to sorting out the pc release some time, but this is another EA / Dice schedule so I won't expect that to happen when they say.

lol sounds like Novalogic they say the y will release a game and then they push the release dates back for a few months or come out with a dif game and say the other 1 will be out in a few months like the 1 ggame is a mess up of thegame that was supposed to come out lol. But we will have to wait and see i only play pc games unless it is Rock Band or Guitar Hero

On X-Play on G4TV and they said that EA has announced that when 43 million kills have been reached in the community, they
will unlock the Coral Sea map. Has anyone heard this also?

now the latest is the xbox and ps2 or 3 version will be out in September so who knows when pc version will be out

Yep that is the latest news. It will only unlock for that platform that achieves the 43M so it could be unlocked on PS3 but still locked on X Box http://www.battlefield1943.com/coral-sea

BFCL seem to be confident that the PC version will be out sept 09 because they are already advertising a tournament, registration is open now

I have watched some of this. Stick with it as the in game footage is worth watching & you get to learn about some nuggets like the getting control of a 3 plane bomber squadron when you occupy a bunker at a capped flag.
Might get to watch it all eventually when i get time.

Official Twitter says that the July release dates for XBox & PS3 will be released today.
