Kursk
Does anyone feel like I do that this map needs to be modded to add an AA at each home base?
It is one of those maps that very often develops into a base rape with the aircraft continually buzzing the base stopping any chance of the tanks getting out & taking out the aircraft.

Strange thing after I posted this. I went on the server & next map up? Yes you've guessed it Kursk & it turned into a total waste in the Axis base, the planes just kept rolling in & then the Allied tanks come in unapposed because the Axis tanks have been bombed. I feel that we lose players because we allow base camp & this happens.

Yes, feel exactly same way. Also an AA is needed at the flag opposite the sawmill. It's a bit of an advantage for the team that has occupied the sawmill.

Good idea Gav (Have seen that mod on other servers.)
I dont agree with u Harrick, differnecies between capture flags improves gameplay as long as it dont give one team
obvious advantage in beginning of map.

Both Kursk and Kharkov need AA at the bases.
But quite honestly, I would pull Kursk, Kharkov and Battleaxe from the rotation. They are each fun in their own right, but more than half the time they end up in a base rape. I have seen players quit in frustration at this, including me!!!!!

My thought for positioning would be somewhere near the fence next to the huts on the airfield side.
Not sure whether it should be sandbagged to provide some cover from tanks too.

I think you want to place the two AA on Kursk back on the airfield by the trees maybe.
We don't need AA in front,then people will use it to hit flags.
I say no sandbags around them,this way you can hit anything that tries to come in and camp.
Same thing with kharkov,back at airfield no sandbags for maximum effect and better vision.
