The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
Our baby chicks arrived this morning. We were not ready at all, and had to run to Tractor Supply Company to pick up a bunch of stuff we hadn't got yet...like food! After a hectic morning they are in the kiddie pool all set up. I moved the camera for my site downstairs and put it on them. So go check it out!

Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
The one with a white head looks really funny. Please put a T-Rex toy or something in there for humor.
Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
lol...I don't think we have any T-Rex toy to put in there. Would be funny though.
We get the poults (turkeys) tomorrow. I probably won't be able to put a camera on them, but I'll try to post some pictures...if they survive!!

You could always put a small jar of jif in the corner, just barely in the cameras view.
Maybe even a plastic toy soldier or jeep.
I like looking at them, i can almost smell the farm like air.

Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
Does that say "Hi Corny" on the water feeder?
Why does he get singled out for special attention?
Should be "Hi Jiffers" ! No favouratism now.

Please Pick Another Signature. Thank You. Tissueman
Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
It actually said "Hi Corey" which is our son who's in the Army currently stationed in Texas. We removed the sign yesterday when we changed the water.
Today the stream is offline... the host server isn't accepting the connection from my camera, and I don't know why. I've submitted a ticket and am awaiting a response. They told me a few days ago that my bandwidth use has been really high over the past few months which I have contested a bit. It's not like I get 1000's of visitors an hour or anything. I don't know if my current problem is related to the conversations I've had over the past few days with them or what. It usually takes them a while to respond.
These chicks are for eggs and entertainment. Watching a chicken run is pretty damn funny. Especially 30 of em lol. If we start getting 2 dozen or so eggs a day we will sell them, otherwise we eat a lot of eggs and give them to friends and family. Farm fresh eggs are SOOOO much better than store bought.

Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
I like the brown eggs (Yes they're really eggs!) But farm fresh is nice because there's no bleaching or other manufacturing processed involved!
Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
FYI: Brown Eggs == White Eggs, white eggs are not bleached in any way and they are one in the same. It all depends on the breed of chicken that laid the egg. We had chickens at one point that laid green and blue eggs.
Re: The Return of the Baby Chick Cam
Well..if any of you guys care. My account is being moved to a new updated server. Apparently one of the changes I made yesterday to try and knock down my bandwidth usage caused a bug to show up. End result is I need to be on a new server with updated software. They said it will probably take 1-2 hours and then I should be up and running again.
