Old PC parts

Post by [JiF]Mike »

I'm looking for old pc parts. I'm not talking ancient stuff, I'm looking to put together a PC for a friend that can play most of todays pc games. It doesn't have to be the greatest, but if you have a pretty good video card laying around cause you recently upgraded I might be interested. If you have a ready made list of stuff that would be great, but I'm not expecting anyone to take an inventory or anything. I still need to go through what I have to see if it's even worth doing. I'm looking for cheap stuff here, I really don't wanna buy anything. I just wanna get him started. :)

I'm pretty sure I have a motherboard w. AGP, a cpu, a bit of memory, a case, and possibly a HDD. Keyboard, mouse, and monitor will be easy to get as I have a ton of old ones that were donated at work. The video card and more memory are my real worries, but anything else you wanna get rid of that might be better than what I have, I'd love to know about. Thanx :)

Mike,

see my other post as well, regarding my drives.

If you need & want them, I can send you my CD-RW and DVD-ROM drives.

If you have some "test systems" to see if they work, they're yours.

was thinking of upgrading my computer (128MB ATI Radeon 9800 PRO w/2 GB RAM) but need to see how the IRS is going to be this year.
think I am going to owe like $4000 in taxes due to my capital gains this year... :(

PM me if you want to talk.
