Re: Bacon Explosion...
That does look like something that would be good to try out, I hope the arteries are up for it.
I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

I don't know about these kids, Step. If you eat this with a few beers the alcohol will cut the fat. Or you could take giant Zocor tablets like I do.

Re: Bacon Explosion...
Let me see them make a quorn substitute of that thing!
Oh boy that really looks something. I can almost smell it cooking.
Being someone who seems to have no trouble controlling his weight no matter how much he eats I guess I could partake of some of that & not feel guilty.
Damn got to wipe the dribble off my keyboard now

Re: Bacon Explosion...
There is a place that serves pretty much that same meal shown above ^ in Brantford, Ontario.
Yes, not only is Brantford, Ontario known as the birthplace of Wayne Gretzky, it is also the home of Admiral's Submarine. The place is a total dive and has been an icon in the core of Brantford for decades. It is almost a rite of passage for Ontario youth while in college or university to try and eat a full meal in one sitting. I tried searching for articles/webpages of the place but unfortunately all I could find is below from another forum along with a picture which does not do justice to the size and scope of the meal.
The burger in the above picture does not have the peameal on it.

I am not sure that the fries can feed six people but I will definately say that they can feed a family of four (and never ever order anything other than a small fry). And the peameal that they put on the burger is not just one or two slices, they take a small package of peameal bacon, cook it and when it is placed on the burger it resembles a third patty. They make one of the best double banquet burgers in Ontario - two huge homeburgers, slices of peameal bacon and cheese with toppings... the whole thing weighs like a pound and that's without the french fries on the side... a 'small' fries is enough for six people

Re: Bacon Explosion...
From Wiki
Usually sliced between 1/8" to 1/4" thick. The term peameal bacon is a variety of unsmoked back bacon which historically was brined and rolled in a meal made from ground yellow peas. Today, fine cornmeal is more commonly used as a coating.
