What to do with that USB thumb drive

Post by [JiF][AARP]Grimp »

Ziggy was playing around with this the other day.
Its pretty cool for moving around from computer to computer and not leave any tracks.
Very handy at work so you don't leave you personal email accounts, AIM accounts, and bookmarks on your work PC.
Would be cool when using a relatives or Internet cafe computer.
I just loaded the smaller version on at 128 MEG stick and it seems kinda slow, but probably worth the waiting.

This is cool. I copied the BFRM folder into the PortableApps folder on the usb stick and I now have Battlefield Remote Manager on the menu.
Manage the server from anywhere and not have to put in on the PC.

I like this portable apps thing so far. Probably enough to get a larger drive so I can really use it.

I doubt it, but the Open Office stuff may be compatable enough for you to handle most MS Office stuff.

Cream and sugar?

Dave after you installed Skype does it work on different computers. I am thinking it needs registry entries.
I am at my drives limit so I can't install any more stuff :( I think I am getting one for Xmas so I am not gonna got buy a bigger one yet.

Yup - just threw the USB Drive in my work computer (that doesn't have SKYPE) and it worked like a champ. I'm on now.

Just called and chatted with Crash!
