I'm on the ferry to the Netherlands when my jar has run out!
I used to do alcohol runs to France, but now it's going to be peanut butter runs to Den Haag. Just need the postcode of the shop to put in my Sat Nav.

Den Haag (The Hague)
Netherlands.
But don't blame me if you can't find parking. Like everyone else in Holland, you'll just have to ride a bicycle. Even then you ain't guaranteed a parking space:
Bicycle parking lot at Central Station, Den Haag:
What you WILL like though is that less than a stone's throw from the book center is a glorious double-story English pub, called the Firkin and Fiddler, with their own micro-brewery in the cellar, and a sports bar upstairs, for the English footy fans with widescreen tv's etc, and if you're especially nice to the barstaff (which for some strange reason are all Dutch) they'll even flip the channel to Eastenders if that's your thing. Of course they have the mandatory Sunday night bar quizz, which I never win, 'cos the questions always seem to revolve about British 90's Indie music.
I'm still waiting for Britain to apologize for giving the world Indie music and the SpiceGirls (although it may sound a bit rich coming from a guy who liked Bucks Fizz, the British bubblegum-pop band who won the Eurovision contest in the early 80's)
but yeah, nothing beats a good English Breakfast on a Sunday morning followed by a pint of cider or two.

Many European cities and towns have well laid out bike paths. In Stockholm they even have a separate set of traffic signals for some of the bike paths at intersections. There used to be hundreds of bikes outside of the hotel I used to stay at in Karlstad, Sweden from the young people partying in the bar. The bikes would slowly disappear over the next day. I never could understand how anyone could find their own bike in that pile.
Some advanced Jif ideas for our friends across the pond. Try to put potato chips (crisps) on a JiF sandwich. Or try Fritos corn chips (my favorite for a crunchy combination). Or use large Fritos to dip the Jif right out of the jar. Some people like honey. Of course there is the time tested PB & J (peanut butter and jelly) sandwich. I have a Jif sandwich for lunch probably 4-5 days a week. JiF is a very versatile food, but I don't think I'd try a Jif and Kidney pie.

Potatoe chips and peanut butter? What silliness is this? It's truly all about a peanut butter and banana sandwich

One of my favorites is to put Jif on toasted sourdough english muffins (crumpet?) and jelly. There is nothing like it in the world.....
Super yummy in the morning or whenever. I wish I could have some right now!
I'll have to settle for a beer i guess....

Re: JiF: In the beginning... (1950's)
I wasn't sure where to put this so I suppose here will do?
I found these today while shopping, and I saw New JiF Snack Nuts and just had to get them.
I'm not sure if anyone else in the U.S. has seen them yet but they are new and I thought I'd just bring it to everyones attention?
SO GO GET YOUR OWN! LOL!!!
I'm saving mine for CMM
Enjoy!

Am I the only one who noticed the first one is a punch card?
Also, damn this thread for making me hungry.

Oh I forgot to mention this. There is a pizza place in my area that serves pizza with all kinds of toppings, including peanut butter. Someone told me it is really good, I haven't found anyone else willing to give it a try yet. I'll post pictures when I do.
