The weapons were removed by the original author to keep the race clean. Not like you get killed then jump right back in where you were in BF. You'd have to start completely over, which would get old quick I think. Besides it's pretty easy to have your jeep blow up on you even with the speed damage reduced greatly. :)

I could put the Raid jeeps into the map if you guys want,
I haven't played but are the personal weapons turned on?
just wonder cos you could have 2 player coop races where you have an engy to fix the car along the way, and mine the road for the opposition?
could alter the properties so they had only 1 mine to place and no resupply,
what you think?

i think the raid jeeps would be awsome. i know the designer removed the boats weapons on purpose but for a while it would def be allot of fun to try to get to the end with everyone shooting at each other

I will put the jeeps into the map on Monday evening, if it works we could add it to CMM....

Now there's a grand idea Z-man!
It would be great to have a break from too much serious killing with a bit of racin' fun.
The popularity of Stonehenge shows how much players like the odd goofing around map.

I downloaded and successfully installed the 3 maps which Mike posted in the Custom Maps section, and I went to try the Training Server for the first time today.
I noticed in the map vote section there are actually about 10 maps or so, but when I click on them I get "Map not found" when it loads.

Is there a link somwwhere to download the rest of the maps?

The 3maps I have in my levels folder are:
1stAD_LW_Training
Artillery_Training
DP_Practice

Thanks guys, I'm up to date now.
That HOP map looks like something from Kevin Costner's WATERWORLD or a suburban oilrig xx - shame it doesn't have a helicopter in it!
We should try mod a Flettner into a training map somewhere, 'cos that is by far the most difficult vehicle to master.

The above links are crapping out. "post" and "view topic" I've been trying to get on the training server but I don't have the maps or something.

New maps have been added to the Training server. Get them here: http://www.bfcl.info/main/dload.php?act ... file_id=32

You will need to add them manually tothe proper folder.

I have PM'ed a request to a Senior Admin to change the Server configuation to reflect the BFCL competiton settings.

So spawn times, FF, etc should be the same in practice as in the field.

Regards

hUTCHIE.
