Does anyone know how to bypass the system password prompt on boot up?
A password is not in place and it goes directly from the dell screen right to this prompt and I don't know why.
I tried removing the Cmos battery with no luck and I'm still stuck having to issue a password to gain access, I've tried F2 and F12 and there seems to be no way around it.
If anyone is familiar with this issue and can offer a solution just short of either having to reformat or buying a new hard drive or what have you, I'd greatly appreciate the assist here?

There is a physical jumper on Dell systems mainboard depending on the model. it used to be blue. You can pull it/bridge it to bypass system pass.
