Uggghhh Husky!
Was playing the Husky map lastnight and was an Axis engie and decided to stay back and guard the back base. Like Tobruk, you lose the back base, you lose the game. So I'm mining the bridge, leaving enough room on the left side for vehicles to get out as well as letting people know it's mined and to use the left side. Of course no one pays attention (except Triston and a few others) and people go flying through with jeeps, Boom, -2! There was some whining about the mines, so I stopped. Shortly after, two M10's crossed the bridge unmolested and we were done for...okay, rant over.
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Well we are getting a lot more people on the server these days so I am guessing that some of these people are not used to a coordinated defense and others don't pay attention to the messages popping up. I am sure this wouldn't have occurred if it was all regs on the server.
Maybe try expacking it instead of mining it.

I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

I was about to suggest that too. Since you are planning on staying back, you expack the bridge and stand guard in the house or in the tower and snipe away with the rifle.

Stay back & guard the back base!!!
Hmmm what ever happened to running all over the map trying to cap any flag that you don't have.
You are right of course some maps you just have to try & get a bit of team work going, but it is real hard work a lot of the time.
I usually try to do the same on Iwo. The mountain should be guarded at all costs it is the hardest base to cap as you have to come in the front door (unless you chute in on your own & then with a good team at the top your dead meat). You have to have a mixture of classes though. Engineers to put down mines & stop armoured assault & snipers & infantry to deal with everything else.

My specialty! That's my typical strategy...aggressive defense, I call it...[JiF]Lt Gav wrote: Hmmm what ever happened to running all over the map trying to cap any flag that you don't have.

I used to like playing that map, until we had to play the Um's on it...
