DICE ANNOUNCES BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 2
Before Rejoining the 'B' Company, Players Go Back to WWII in Battlefield 1943

BF43 sounds interesting Bad Company is pretty awesome. I actually like it a little better than COD World at War. I'm considering setting up a server for either COD or Bad Company.

Is Bad Company available for the PC?
Oh, EA Games lost 640 million dollars last quarter and is planning on delaying the release of some games.

Re: Battlefield 1943
Bad Company is console only...
The few pics that were released for 1943 look cool though. I wonder how those maps will work in a completely destructable environment. Like if you can't take out the tank, can you take out the bridge the tank is on?

I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

Re: Battlefield 1943
Bad Company is currently only available for consoles. I'm playing it on PS3. There have been rumors about a PC port, especially now that it's building such a base.
The BF1943 press release is dated (Guildford, UK – February 5, 2009 ) so that's a good sign it may be coming sooner than later! It's using the same engine as BC, so I would suspect that we'll see Bad Company 2 or later on PC.
I have a box, copies of linux, and perhaps some bandwidth coming available. I may put up a server at some point if I find something I like enough.
DJSMG --> even shooting up trees is fun I spent a good time doing that at first lol!

Re: Battlefield 1943
If BF43 is as good as it looks, we may have a contender for a new JiF server.

Hopefully our current machines are up for the task of running it.

Re: Battlefield 1943
True, I forgot JiF still has that extra box. Perhaps I'll run COD if Mike puts BF43 on the JiF Server. I want to play with getting something up at some point.
Yeah BF43 looks rad and the destructible environment is really fun to play because you can get inventive. Sweeeee!

Yes that's my only worry, that it will not run on my laptop & I'll be stuck on BF42 while everyone with their superfast machines are tearing it up on BF43.[JiF]Djsmg wrote:Hopefully our current machines are up for the task of running it.

Re: Battlefield 1943
Is all the environment destructible or only some preestablished part of it like in CoD5 ? If it is the former, as Dj posted, we'll end up being creative and blow the assets under the target ![JiF]Lonewolf-McQuade wrote:Yeah BF43 looks rad and the destructible environment is really fun to play because you can get inventive. Re: Battlefield 1943
The thing i like about it is, you don't have to earn points to unlock weapons.
It's just like the original, you get weapon choice just like everyone else.
This may be the game that finally puts bf1942 away for good.
I may not need to spend 9.99 replace my bf1942 discs.
Looks like it will be time to uninstall bf42 and in 20 years tell the grandkids stories about it.

Re: Battlefield 1943
Sir.. most of it is destructable esp buildings and trees that tend to get in the way!
Corny.. don't put your BF42 away too fast.. there's only a few maps for this release. I think it's more a teaser to get PC players to console, or to stir up excitement for the hopefully soon to be released PC version of Bad COmpany )))

Re: Battlefield 1943
That would be real good then, just as long as EA doesn't dilute it too much (à la CoD) in order to please the console market. I know that's where the money is but the BF franchise has always been a pc based game.

Re: Battlefield 1943
BTW...
Both sites (BF1942 & BF:BC2) said there WILL be PC versions.
Both, of course, will be the last ones out (more than likely).
