Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.
Good Quality for the price, i have had mine for 2 years.

Always get one with a twist handle or it will be useless for any real flyer.
This joystick will also work on any of the mods and BF2,Bf2142.

I think it's time I invested a few quid in one of those. Trying to take on other planes & turn sharply using a mouse sucks.
I did a lot of extra extra hours over Christmas & as the rate per hour (after the wicked taxman has had his way with my hard earned cash ie 60% for me & 40% for him) was equal to the cost of one of them I might just be in the market when pay day rolls around at the end of the month.
Just changed my mind, if I stick it on my card I can order it now & won't have to pay for it until I've been paid.
Ahhhh but I've just remembered the Zouga started another thread about this recently http://www.jiff.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2442&start=0
Oh I don't know I'll maybe wait until some more chuck their hats in the ring as to what they are using!!!! :?
So come on chaps a little more feedback as to what we are all using before benny & I part with our cash.

This one is the same as my first Joystik i bought.
I used it about a month and threw it away.
It had to be calibrated to center everytime i used it.

Regardless of what you buy, get one with a twist handle.

When I'm in Swindon at my rental house, I use one of these

http://www.deafgamers.com/sidewinderff2.htm

Its a very good joystick but costs a fortune
plus It doesn't have the same amount of buttons as the Logitech 3D pro which I also have and like a lot
but the feedback/resistance feature is quite cool
as you pull a loop the stick becomes (slightly) harder to pull on as the Gs increase.
The only problem I have is that I have different tasks mapped to buttons in different places on the two sticks
so when I go to call up the map I forget which I'm using and sometimes end up bailing by accident or vice versa

Depends on the budget you have Roland but I would go for the Logitech
ZtF

I've gone & done it.
Ordered myself the Logitech 3D pro.
Looked at the Forse feedback one but it has a separate power supply which I didn't want to be going down that road.
Thanks for the input chaps :D

Methinks I will have a bit of a practice in single player mode for a while until I've mastered what to do do with buttons, bells & whistles on this thing.
Of course one thing it will mean is I can assign 1 to "push to talk" for TS. I won't have to stop fighting now when I want to say something :D

hey gav and benny if u want u could just use the same buttons configuration as i do. i went to the webpage www.logicalgc.com (its a Dogfight flyboys clan) and 2 of there best players(using 3Dpro too) posted picstures and explanations on how to set up ur joystick for Bf 42. so now i m using the main admins configuration and its really easy to use(and set up) nowq i only need some practise

Frenchy
Did you have to join the server to get this information or can I just browse it?
If you could point me in the direction as to where on their server I could find this I would be most grateful.
Thanks for your help
