EA boycott

Post by [JiF]{zs}wids67 »

EA have produced some wonderful games over the years.. yet milked us the players and fans who pay to play.
we pay out for xpacks boosters and think everything is cool.
In the understanding we bought and own the game and are quite happy with this deal.
Not anymore.. we don't own the games we buy in there eyes.. we are merely renting them.

How come? If we buy anything we can do what we like with it.. or so we would think.. EA don't see it like that and
have taken the protection rites a step to far.. I don't mind game protection keys but to limit it to 3-5 installations sux.
I like most PC gamers upgrade my machine quite a bit yet doing so triggers off use of a new activation 3 strikes and your out!

so how many gamers out there are going to phone EA up explain the situation and pay again for rental of a fresh activation code?
Not me for one..
I understand one of the reasons for this is the second hand gaming market.. seems they want a cut.
Yet if I sell on second hand anything in my home that's belongs to me the manufacturers don't get a cut
and piracy of cause
So if EA don't sort this out I like many gamers will boycott their game's

Over on Amazon the game spore has 1 star rating because of this very reason.. how damaging can that be?
Yet on bit torrents sites the very same game was the most copied game of 2008.
Dose EA understand what they have done?
Time they realised they got it wrong. grump over for now
wids

ur right wids thats BS look at us Bf1942'ers i think most of us would have had to buy the game 5 times if they had had only 5 activation on the game. i know i installed bf 42 about 4 times on my pc
If we make prisons a living hell for them, then we might just be sending out devils once they are released. Cruel methods to achieve discipline are a thing of the past! So, keep on dancing! Byron F. Garcia.
