Who is Billy Mays and why is he yelling at me?
We recently changed our cable package and wound up with a few extra US TV channels. Now it seems that every time I turn on the TV this Billy Mays guy is bellowing at full volume. Does this kind of approach actually work or are these ads only aimed at the hearing impaired?

Billy Mays is just following in the steps of Ron Popeil of Ronco fame, both made/make anything and everything from self cleaning atomizing diapers to dirt on a stick.
All are must haves and you're constantly being bombarded day & night by loud repetitive heat pitches all aimed at making you buy this junk.
Now we have last but not least the gremlin of car shammies Vince with shamWOW.

Vince = scamWOW
So do yourself a favor next time and keep a hammer handy for when these infomercials appear, then just WACK yourself in the groin, it's significantly less painful?

I actually bought the Ronco knife set a few years ago. https://www.ronco.com/knives/Default.aspx (warning SOUND) It was a great deal but they get you for $50 in shipping and $20 for the wood block/rack. So it ended up over $100, but still a decent deal, I split it with a friend and we each got one set for $55+ each.
