Activisions's COD World at War

Post by [JiF]Djsmg »

O.K.

It has been out for a day now.

Who has it and any impressions on it?

I would like to get it, but I am torn on trying a new WWII FPS when I still have fun with the old FPS...

Anyone else worried about what may happen to the population of 1942 servers once this one takes off?
I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

didnt get it (yet).

had to buy myself a different B-day present yesterday instead (new hood protector on 4Runner).

plan to get this weekend & will let you know (btw ...Tomb Raide:UW demo's graphics were fantastic!!).

don't think it will cause any significant shift in play. With past game releases, we never lost a noticeable amount to these other games (COD4 & Crysis were examples).

once a BF42 player, always a BF42 player... no other games will change that!!

I played the beta for about 2 weeks. Got uber pwned where ever and when ever I played. I'm gona have to let that one grow on me. I'm having a hard time with games where I do not see the enemy but it sees me.

We'll see.

After my garage sale in January, hope to be able to convince the wife to buy it
I may have to make a deal with her and get rid of DoDs and BF2.

So I assume that there is online mode for the game?

If so, how is it? What's the general highlights? How many live guys can play online at a time?

ps. still haven't picked it up. figure I will this weekend or next.

Well I played a few Local Co-op missions on my bro's Xbox360...

Pretty dark game, I had a hard time figuring out where I was getting shot from even with the damage indicator.

I will still probably end up buying it at some point in the near future...

You're lucky! We usually get a fairly generous bonus, but as we have just laid 10% of the work force off I don't somehow think we are going to be getting anything this year. :(
I will just have to make sure I get my fill at the company Christmas Dinner next week. Oh yes of course I'm organising it & I'm in charge of the free drinks vouchers. :D
Still my daughter & I are sharing a Wii as our Christmas present & we've spent a few extra pounds on accessories & more games too. I think I could be aching by the time I go back to work, I can't play baseball without giving it the old bat twiddle & full step & swing thing just like the pros.

I got myself a wii as a wedding present
so I know all about the aching Gav is worried about
I think I'll get CoD for it as a crimbo pressie, along with the rifle/crossbow adaptor
never give up on the BF though
