I heard from Mini rambo
so if anyone is interrested in rambo sended me a pm. he will be playing again soon. but right now his internet doenst work anymore because the place where he lives had a water damage after someone screwed up trying to get the air out of the heating system (in germany we have central heating so it works with water and every once i a while the heating sysmtem people have to come a make sure that there is no water in the system or i wont work) in minis case the owner of the place he lives in tryed to do it himself and they water spread into the building screwing up the telephone line. but mini thinks he should be back in a fiew days.
i think thats it i probably saved mini from a huge translation work he would have had to do when he returns

French
Thanks for the update.
We have the same system here. Gas powered hot water central heating. It's illegal for anyone who is not a registered specialist to touch it themselves. Of course that tends to bump up the cost if you do need to call someone in if you get a problem. However I'm with a gas supplier who do a sort of insurance scheme where I pay an annual fee & get a service visit free once a year. Chap comes along tut tuts sucks his teeth & tells me how old the boiler is & all that.
Must be bad without a working system in Germany at this time of year. My boss has just come back from touring the Christmas markets over there & said how cold it was.
Hopefully we'll see Mini back in action in the not too distant future!
Thanks for the update.

Now isn't that just a great idea. An acoholic drink which you just have to have to warm yourself up. We do mulled wine at this time of year, a warmed red wine with spices & cinamon.FrenchAfroman wrote:@gav yeah its is cold over here but it could be colder see thats the better point of view and at least on the cristmas market we have some good Glühwein(hot christmas wine) und that makes u feel warm again

Yep we probably got the idea from the continent, can't see us coming up with a drink involving wine on our own.FrenchAfroman wrote:ur mulled wine sounds mcuh like our Glühwein its also red warm wine with spices and cinamon

Glad to see you back and in good spirits Mini
Re: I heard from Mini rambo
It depends on the house and sometimes even the apartment you live in. Of the four places I've lived in so far, three had the usual central heating (and hot water preparation) with oil burner combination. Whereas the fourth house sports a funky mixture of heating systems: In my place, I have separate gas heaters for water (connected to the taps in the bathroom and in the kitchen) and for the room itself in the bathroom, a special gas oven with integrated heater (integrated in the base of the oven) in the kitchen, and also a special kind of gas heater in the main room, which is called "Außenwandofen", 'cause the exhaust isn't lead through the chimney, but instead going directly to the outside through a short funnel and hole in the wall on the back of the heater. Whereas the more recently renewed apartsments usually have a combined central gas burner, that provides hot water to the taps and to the radiators in all the rooms connected to it. The remaining apartments mainly have similar configurations as my place, but some also have electric heating. And before the gas came into the house, the usual thing were separate coal or oil heaters for each room.FrenchAfroman wrote: (...) in germany we have central heating so it works with water and every once i a while the heating sysmtem people have to come a make sure that there is no water in the system or i wont work (...)
Well, and letting the air out of the water circuitry in as central heating system actually serves two puposes: It'll not only work more efficiently without - it'll also produce much less noise. And the latter often enough is the main reason for the procedure, 'cause the noise will usually be noticed first anyway...
Greetings from Munich!

P.S.: I wonder what fool caused that flooding at Mini's place, though - one wouldn't expect something like that for such a common service task... I just hope there isn't too much damage.
