You might see more of them now that we closed our BF1942 server down for good. You guys are left with what ressembles the most what we had at Surfals. Long live the JiF potluck server.

I wondered why I couldn't get on Surfals the other night when our server was playing silly whatsits.

We only pulled the plug on our BF1942 server as we were rarelly populating it and had left the BFCL league du to lack of interest in competition. Surfal was founded by hardcore fans of 1942, for scriming and competing in fun and fairness. We were never really serious as we never practiced hard or devoted all our gaming to 'being ready'; we werereally like JiF, playing just for fun, but times and interests changes. As a british band once said, 'Time flies but aeroplanes crash'.

The community (not a clan) still has our website and a TS server and we just procured ourselves a CoD 5 server, as it seams a promising game. There are still a few hardcore 1942 guys that'll populate your server or some others, and some like me who also still like 2142 a lot.

So there you have it, news on the gaming front !
