It will consume you. It will warp your sense of time and reality. Your will start debating the politics of Azeroth and use words like gnomeran and u'goro crater in chat. you will learn to hate twink PVP toons. Besides that, it's pretty cool if you like alternative reality. It really is a whole different "world".

Personally, I would recommend the new Warhammer game. It's a lot more fun, IMHO. Or, if you want a free MMO, check out Gaia Online's zOMG! game. It's pretty much epic. <----shameless promoting
