Well i didnt know where else to turn to since i cannot find anywhere a solution to my problem.
I bought a new computer and want to play BF1942 on it. I get into the game and when the computer is done loading the map BF crashes. I just get the dont send window and i hit dont send and its back to my desktop.
Has anyone had this problem before? If so how did ya fix it?
Thanks

Re: New COmputer and BF 1942 Problem
You must be on Vista.
I endured this for some time and finally decided to buy a vid card for an old XP box and use it.
Doing these things reduced the number of crashes (usually on map load):
Get the latest and greatest video card drivers
have nothing else running to have max memory available (kill av pgms and startup items too)
you can try this switch on the game startup:
-heapsize 1024000
my shortcut looked like this: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1 -heapsize 1024000
(the restart parm makes it skip the intro)
Good luck!

Re: New COmputer and BF 1942 Problem
If you are using Vista make sure you set BF1942 to run in XP compatability mode.
You can access this via the properties menu,
also make sure you set it and all associated programs (ie pb, TS) to have administrator access.
If you have installed any custom maps check your levels folder to make sure that there are only map files in there.
Remove any .txt files or screenshots .tga
other than that I don't know
