Fun time last night

Post by [JiF][AARP]Grimp »

Had a fun time jumping on and off the Pot Luck server last night.
I think we actually had about 5 JiFfers on at one time. Looks like a case of the non-members attracting the members to come on :)

We seem to have a small group of non-JiFfers that have become regulars and I would like to thank them for coming on and making it a fun time. We get a few pain in the butts that come on just to disrupt, but overall its been pretty good.
Again thanks for coming on and helping make it a fun place to play.

I would also like to thank the bots for being very stupid and making me feel like I can play well.

yep, I got one. What I do is use Deamon Tools and mount a image of the disk to play it so I don't need the CD at all after the install.
If your want to play on the Potluck server you may want to get the 2 expansion packs. I think they are pretty cheap now.

Target has the "Complete Collection" for $19.99. Includes Battlefield 1942, Road to Rome, Secret Weapons, and Battlefield Vietnam. Wally Mart has it for $19.77.

BTW, I thnk BF2 is a much better game, but on the Pot Luck server I can at least find some players :)
Not a big FH fan so I can't hang out with Mentat and his gang. BF Vietnam is pretty good too, but seems to lack a real following.

rIot I will put the CD out in our kitchen. You can just stop by and pick it up when you get a chance and somebody is here to give it to you.

Unfortunately I am really bad at in game chat and using TS for that matter. Most of the time I am so into not getting killed I don't know if anyone is talking to me

Maybe one of our members with better social skillz can ask if they want to or if they visit the forums they can ask.

Its a shame not many people are usually on TS, I happened to catch Smuckers once. I think TS is teh best when it comes to communication (but if we can get a vent server there is no delay between pressing the button and it transmitting).

If you've ever been on Wolf's TS when the chatty gang are playing … Well you'd really appreciate a less active TS.

WOLF ...add one girl player and the collective pubescent minds on TS start to melt and all you hear is some babbling noises...

I took Grimps advice and bought the whole pack of BF games...of course after laughing at all the nubs outside of Best Buy camping in their tents!

WOW, early last night there were 26 human players on ! Only 10 bots left to kill. Must have been the l33t bots.
Had quite a few on TS also. There only strategy we had was "lets all get on the same side and kill the bots" :)
We had a full crew in the bomber and a mini tank APC caravan for a bit.

As usually SGT Chip Saunders owned pretty much the whole time ! Who is that guy? He is amazing ;)

I dont know but I sure wished he would have left me alone last night so I could have gotten back into the swing of it again.

That was the first time I have been able to game for several months and I had fun. I think I played almost a full round of map lineup as I was on the server for about 4 hours.

Cool. My left arm hurts this morning from playing :)

Now I've been feeling that I would like to play BFV again. You think we could run a BFV bot server over the weekend or do you think that we would lose the players that have been coming on BF?
