League or Match play for BF42

Hey guys,
was on BFCL.info and realized I have never palyed a real match game as a clan member here at Jif!

Actually,
I have never played any match or league play at all and think it would be a hoot.

Is anyone else up for this kind of thing and how do we go about setting it up with offical blessings?

The two kinds of games I think that would be easist to set up are the 5x5 and 8x8 games on BFCL. 5x5 is infintry only, 8x8 is full combat mode both on BF42.

Anyone want to comment on this and think it would be cool?

The next round of matches are winter matches so there could be time to set this up, practice as a team and then put some hurt on....

Come on, we have some really good players and I think we could do some damage to some of those ego's out there!

FYI, 5v5 is drawing to the end, the finals start in 2 weeks. Winter will be 8v8 full combat (i.e. all weapons and vehicules allowed).

I must say that spectators are not allowed as there is no way to warrant that they're not on TS with one of the teams and feeding intel on the other team.

Kinda like how they cover up all the cards except yours while playing online poker.

What about vids of games already played like an instant replay?

The BFCL is really about having fun. They were spun off of another group called The 3FL (Frags for Fun). JiF participated in the 3FL for a few seasons, BF42, and BF2. We did okay, but many of the clans/teams were very practiced (we didn't practice) and that makes a difference. If you are going to play in the 8v8 you'll need a roster of at least 10 (12 is better) number of JiFFer's to commit to playing to help when there are schedule conflicts. As a former team in the 3FL, we should be grandfathered into the BFCL, so wouldn't be hard too play. I'd start a separate thread in the private forums and try and gage interest. You'll also need two captains to interface with the BFCL and organize on this side.

I think corn is right, we should put together a Jif Scrim for fun to see how it plays out. If people have the time and place, then we should do it and see how it shakes out. If it works out great, if not thats good too, no worries.
I know we are all busy and after all this is Jif- but I still would like to give something a go- even if its just a one time Jif only thing. I think that would be fun too!
