Re: Objective maps
I dunno about that, a rock when thrown can actually look graceful as it flys through the air, my actions in a plane (even with a new joystick) tend to be very jerky and not graceful at all.Sir Die-a-lot wrote: I'd say the proper term is 'rock' xx
Recently I have got a "bomb" kill on a parked Priest. I had a nice approach from behind, lined up on it, dropped the bomb, flew into the bomb, and my flaming shell proceeded to crash into the rear of the priest thus removing it from the map as well as me.
However there are similarities with the landing
I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

Re: Objective maps
Of all the rotten luck, I actually run into another plane last night! All that open sky and I have a mid-air collision.

Re: Objective maps
I can fly pretty well, avoiding stationary obstacles, flying upside-down, flying upside-down in close proximity to my own teams tanks...
when i try to kill things, however... almost more than half the time, they end up being on my team, and the other half i have to get close enough that the bomb damages my plane more than the enemy's tank!
sometimes, on the map with the helecopters, i will just fly through the canyons in the fighter, seeing how close i can fly to the ground/canyon walls without dying. I have yet to do that upside down, although it would be fun.

That's right, these posts are the result of the dedicated work of me and a room full of monkeys working diligently on our typewriters.

Re: Objective maps
Hi,
The objective maps sound really good. As normal maps Mimoycques, Hellendorn, Kbeley and Telemark are amongst my favourites. But with the extra twist of objectives they sound really interesting.
Could someone slip one into the rotation please?

Re: Objective maps
Hope the server handles it okay.
It sometimes crashes on coop maps, not sure about objective.
Next time we see good many people on server, just ask for other jiffers if it would be ok.
I wonder if we could actually put Telemark or Essen objective map into the vote map console.
I'm ready for a good objective map.

Re: Objective maps
these maps require a great deal of teamwork to win for attackers, moreso than CTF, one or two defenders can hold off a squad of 5-6 attackers quite easily.
Telemark or hellendorn are prob the easiest to win for allies, essen and mimoyecques for axis.
so you would need to balance this out
I will post a strategy guide for each if you guys want under a separate thread, let me know

The winner is the one who has teamwork and least worried about his KDR.
No place here for Lone Rangers.
Strategy guide would help some of those not familiar with how Objective maps work.
Thanks!

Re: Objective maps
I guess these are server side mods to the normal maps - so no need to download am I right?
Will admins know what to do if I ask them to put these into rotation? (i.e. are they ready and waiting on our server?)
