And by the way, playing 'Bull fighter' (a guy with a zook, the rest in jeeps running at him, if zooker kills ya, you become the zooker) on a map like demo derby jeep racing with turbo no self-damage jeeps is a hoot !
This is true if you are granted FULL access. Even I can't get at it (I do know & see where you are talking about!).

So if you want, you will need to pray to & bribe the JiF Gods who do!!! ;)

I think the main question though is do we want to try something or not. What I hope to hear from folks is why we should or shouldn't. If we decide to proceed, we can open a thread to review/discuss details of map options, and have a selection process. I've stated why I think we should try a gimmick map before. Kelly's made a good point about the map load difficulties. I had to reload and catching up on the maps from scratch was a pain. I am currently working on a way to simplify it as a side project.

That's the easy part, a box o' donuts on the altar and the god will fall to sugar induced bliss and grant you all wishes !

That's right, these posts are the result of the dedicated work of me and a room full of monkeys working diligently on our typewriters.

It's going to wrap up in a few hours! Thanks to all of you for the great input both for and against. We have a lot of viewpoints to consider! to Kelly's point, I'm still working on a solution for bottling up some of the maps.. not sure it can be done! if any of you have ideas PM me! :) I'm thinking scripting and extracting .exes so far.

That's right sheep! I'll ask Holden if it's ok to use, and if so I think we should throw it in the mix on CMT!!

Thanks to Mike for adding this map. I'll plan on being there thursday to test it out. I can't wait to ride the sheep! lol.

Please post comments about it afterwards so we know to keep it or boot it out! Have fun!

This map is on the server, but not in the rotation. If I get around to it I will post a link for downloading, it is not included in the big file yet.

Thanks for adding it Mike, and thanks for the link Lonewolf.

Hopefully I can be on when someone pulls it up. I should have some 'free' time tomorrow for some custom maps.

I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

About 6 of us tried the StoneHenge map last night. Thanks guys! :)

The Good: I personally enjoyed it and laughed through the entire thing.. the sheep are funny.. machine gun sheep, med sheep, bomber sheep.. Machine guns in jeeps.. I think this map will be lively with about 10+ people all fighting for Stone Henge!

The Bad: Not really anything so far.. loads quick.. 6toe did find that once you capture a flag the grey flag will still appear when you're in range of it. It may be intentional so you never know if someone is on it or not too. it's not a show stopper, and the map played well. I died like 17 times lol!

Note: The map is on the server but not in rotation yet so you can fire it up on CMTs if you'd like to test it out!

lmao! Stonehenge looks and sounds like it's a riot! I would love to see that pulled up from time to time. Definately in keeping with the JiF philosophy of Just In Fun! It's the reason I play.
I'm a relatively new player with only 90 hours on JiF, but all respect to the JiF staff and admin who continue to run the server, appreciate your efforts in keeping an old game fresh with new ideas, maps and concepts. May Vista never sound the death knell for bf42!

It is a funny map, and it only hurts when I laugh! We should pop that one in when we get a decent turn-out on Thursdays.
Incoming fire has the right of way!
