Re: TAGS
Hello,
Use of the [JiF] tag is different from membership of the forum. Feel free to choose your own tag, apart from [JiF] which is registered with punkbuster so that it does not get misused.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Re: TAGS
Hello ICEE,
I saw your question about 'when do we get tags' on the shoutbox and thought it appropriate to answer here.
More experienced [Jif]ers feel free to correct me.
1. Play fair, don't swear and respect others on the JiF server.
2. Participate in these forums so JiF people and others get an idea of your views and attitude.
3. On observing the above JiF members may see that your behaviour, views and playing style (particularly when things are going wrong i.e TKing, etc) warrant offering you the JiF tag and membership.
Stage 3 if it occurs, may take many months, a year or two and sometimes never. Never doesn't mean JiF doesn't like or want you. JiF is not elitist or a clan but is a collection of people who have a sense of humour and perspective about gaming but don't want to be committed like a traditional clan. I can't speak for others, but my own opinion is I find it uncomfortable to be asked to recommend someone for the [JiF] tag. The idea to recommend should be totally independent of any direct influence or persuasion. Hope this helps to understand a little of the rationale behind JiF. Please read the rules of the Jar and other posts to get more in depth information on JiF.
The main thing is to have fun playing on the [JiF] server which is of course open to all reasonable people whether they are JiF members or not.
Regards
hUTCHIE

About 4 or 5 months ago Punkbuster updated, and I my ping suddenly went up from an average of 40 to about 150, and I also got very laggy, which is why you guys all use me for target practice (do I detect a little hint of an excuse lol?) But seriously, even the bots rub their hands together when I'm online.

Re: TAGS
Are you sure you're running the latest version of PB? I usually have to manually update as the automatic never seems to work for me.

Same thing goes for me too.... I thought it might have been because I moved halfway across the U.S. and changed i-net providers.
Gotta love it when you empty a clip into a guy (you think) then see them hopping about 50 yards away and right about that time you die.
