Stick a Fork in Me

Post by [JiF]LtWaterboy »

Hey guys,

well, it's been fun. today was my last day of playing BF1942.

between the Vista crashes to desktop & the server hiccups, I've decided to give up on the 5-yr old game.

will still be around, but will be shifting my focus to games like Crysis and COD4.

figured this would finally give Sly the chance to be #1 in stats.... heehee.... ;)

Cya on the new killin fields!!! :)

LT

ps. Anyone still doing BF2142?

2142 is so.. 2007ish.. You should set your PC to dual boot for XP (with partition magic it's a 30-40 minute setup) and keep playing 42! Come on you know you'll miss it too much and it's worth the work!

Considering it's all coop maps, is there really a difference between shooting a bot and shooting waterboy???

Going to Vista and getting the Direct X10, do you notice any difference in Crysis? I thought it was supposed to take advantage of it whereas XP didn't support Direct X10.
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

I'm just hanging out the bunting now & starting the celebration party.
That's 1 less fly boy to keep bombing me up woo hoo! :D
Oops I just re-read the post he's only giving up BF42 not leaving the forum. Damn where do I find the edit function on this, he might decide he'll come back & haunt me.
As to shooting a bot & Waterboy there's no contest only 1 gives you a big satisfied grin.

Waterboy, I haven't been on the server long enough to know you very well, but just long enough enough to find myself continuously in your crosshairs. Someone mentioned that one of the most satisfying things on BF42 was to see your plane finally going down in flames after a particularly nasty strafing run which usually lasted the whole map! Your game play taught me real quick to watch the skies, to check my 6 every few seconds and to sharpen my in-game humour!
You should buy a second computer and run xp on the one and Vista on the other. You gotta admit it must feel great to know you're the source of so much misery amongst your opponents lol
All the best to you.

It's been fun being shot up by you, hopefully you get glitches worked out or as Lonewolf-McQuade stated, a dual boot system set-up so that when nostalgia kicks in you can stop in to show us that you can still line us up in your crosshairs.
I have decided to produce and sell a strong alcoholic drink called "Responsibly".
That way everyone in the country can get wasted drinking Responsibly.
And all the other drinks makers will be advertising for me on their cans with the slogan "please drink Responsibly".
Probably will annoy the government as well.

Bah. I've been #1 for months. Even stopped looking once I realized you were never going to catch me. You're just ticked that you're no longer #2. ;)

I'm not far behind ya. Let me know where you're playing COD4. Been meaning to pick that up on multiplayer since TF2 isn't quite fulfilling my need for wanton destruction.
